As a UI/UX Designer with Zithara, you will strategize, communicate, negotiate, and drive design solutions for our products. You’ll collaborate with Research, Product, Business, Data, and Engineering teams to create delightful and impactful experiences for our users. You’ll build products with a deep understanding of our users’ needs and transform them into usable designs by conducting frequent user testing.

You'll be able to articulate your decisions & solutions verbally as well as through sketches, user flows, wireframes, hi-fi mocks, and functional prototypes.

What you will do

• Take ownership of entire design delivery, starting from discussions, sketches, wireframes to high-fidelity designs across web-app, mobile app, emails, and native clients
• Work closely with the Engineering team to ensure the technical feasibility of your proposed prototypes and validate them with internal stakeholders before it goes into development
• Provide support to marketing and brand design efforts.
• Implement accessibility best practices and pay attention to things like color, navigation, and contrasts
• Create, improve user journey flows and produce high-fidelity prototypes/wireframes, prototypes, style guides, user flows for new features and improvements for our products
• Focus on the visual interface (UI) for web/apps, develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate functionality and experience
• Write design specifications documenting the design decisions and user flow in a written and visual format
• Work closely with the product team to discover user needs, conduct user testing with studies, prototypes, gather insights, and troubleshoot UX problems, and conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
• Play an active role in designing and validating new experiences via mockups, wireframes, flow diagrams, sketches, and other UX artifacts
• Conduct quick rounds of usability testing
• Individually contribute to the design decisions and mentor senior and junior Designers for holistic growth
• Effectively use quantitative and qualitative data to drive decisions and measure success
• Collaborate with the research, product, business and engineering teams to build scalable and impactful solutions
• Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
• Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps

What you will need

• 2+ years of design experience in a product company. Experience with startups and fast-paced environments is an added advantage
• A strong portfolio of innovative design work that demonstrates strong UX/UI design skills, curiosity, empathy, business acumen and strong drive to learn
• Understanding business and applying customer feedback and research to the design process
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholder management
• Experience leading a project or a vertical
• Ability to quickly incorporate feedback and think about how the UI will scale in future and integrate with the rest of the product
• Strong desire to see how Designers can support the company’s goals, team initiatives, and the broader product vision
• Knowledge of iterative design systems; maintaining a brand + creating (sometimes new) assets to a brand
• You'll be able to develop new components, establish guidelines for their usage, and help with the maintenance of the overall system
• Have been part of previous web/app launches, as a UX/UI designer and an in-depth understanding of modern UX and UI patterns
• Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines
