Job Description

As a Content Strategist at , you’ll get to showcase your expertise in using content to attract and engage internal and external stakeholders, use your strategic and creative skills to refine, enhance, and drive our brand awareness, and promote our brand. More specifically, you’ll get to:

  • Market research: analysis of competitor content and customer feedback to inform the development of winning strategies
  • Audience analysis: regular checking of analytics data to identify trends in reader engagement and adapt accordingly
  • Strategy development: brainstorming and implementing innovative ideas for engaging content that aligns with the key brand messages and objectives
  • Content planning: mapping out an editorial workflow and using content management systems to ensure timely and efficient digital content creation
  • Content audits: evaluating existing platforms for gaps in consistency or areas that can be improved upon
  • Content creation: writing, developing, and updating SEO-friendly content for multiple channels, such as websites, blogs, and social media channels
  • Content optimization: editing existing materials, repurposing them as required, performing keyword research using various tools, optimizing with relevant key phrases, and increasing engagement through SEO optimization measures
  • Product promotion: creating promotional copy for products or services in line with branding guidelines
  • Performance tracking: monitoring and reporting on the performance of content across multiple channels, adjusting as necessary to maximize reach
  • Data analysis: using analytics tools to assess trends in reader engagement and make data-driven decisions
  • develop content strategies for traditional and digital marketing channels, and content marketing and distribution platforms
  • use consumer analytics to determine the best way to engage users, increase customer loyalty, generate leads, and measure brand awareness
  • work with cross-functional teams to establish and articulate internal and external key messages, and ensure that content is aligned accordingly
  • work with editors, writers, UX designers, content management system developers, and marketers to deliver stories that are aligned with business goals

Key Skills required

  • Proven work experience as a Content Strategist, Content Manager or similar role
  • A portfolio of published articles
  • Experience in project management is a plus
  • Knowledge of Content Management Systems, like WordPress
  • Basic understanding of HTML and web publishing
  • Familiarity with SEO guidelines and keyword research tools (e.g. Moz and Google Keyword Planner)
  • Experience using social media for business
  • Solid writing and editing skills in English
  • Time-management skills
  • Ability to guide and motivate team members
  • BSc in Marketing, Journalism or relevant field
