Position Overview
The Service Technician is responsible for working across multiple departments, performing duties as a pesticide technician, material handler, and flatbed truck driver. The ideal candidate is flexible, reliable, and willing to handle a diverse set of tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Pest Technician Responsibilities:
· Chemical Application: Apply termiticide and deliver necessary building materials (nails, Visqueen, steel, etc.).
· Inventory Management: Accurately maintain records of job-related materials and ensure proper inventory levels.
· Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on pretreatment vehicles and equipment, including pumps, tanks, and hoses. Maintain vehicle cleanliness.
· Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of all job orders using company-provided forms.
· Yard Maintenance: Assist steel workers with maintaining the steel yard, storage areas, and rebar zones.
· Safety Compliance: Ensure that all safety protocols are followed by employees.
Material Handler/Driver Responsibilities:
· Safe Driving: Operate delivery vehicles safely to transport materials to designated locations.
· Order Management: Retrieve, prepare, and verify orders for accuracy and completeness.
· Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload materials while adhering to safety protocols.
· Maintenance Checks: Inspect vehicles and equipment for safety issues and report any concerns.
· Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding deliveries.
· Warehouse Support: Assist with inventory management, material handling, and stocking as needed.
· Organizational Efficiency: Maintain a clean and organized loading area for efficient operations.
Requirements
Pest Technician Requirements:
· Experience: 1-2 years of pesticide treatment experience.
· License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
· Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with safety procedures in an industrial environment.
· Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Material Handler/Driver Requirements:
· Experience: 2 years of experience as a delivery driver or in material handling.
· License: Valid driver's license with a clean record.
· Physical Ability: Capable of lifting heavy items and performing physically demanding tasks.
· Skills: Strong organizational skills, logistics knowledge, and good communication.
· Safety Practices: Familiarity with safe loading and unloading techniques.
