Job Description

We are looking for a Trade Support Specialist to join our Investment Operations team. This role bridges the gap between clients and internal teams, ensuring smooth trading operations, timely issue resolution, and risk mitigation. What You’ll Do

  • Manage Start-of-Day (SoD) workflows
  • Enable/disable trading of accounts per advisor instructions
  • Handle account activations, closures, and maintenance
  • Act as liaison between Advisors, Traders, and Portfolio Accounting
  • Monitor and reconcile intraday trading at brokers
  • Execute manual trades for equities, options, and mutual funds when needed
  • Perform trade system checks and investigate discrepancies
  • Identify and resolve variances in transactions, positions, or performance
  • Escalate and resolve issues with Development & Engineering teams
  • Enhance platform workflows to eliminate manual workarounds
  • Support portfolio migrations onto the SMArtX platform
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for internal teams
  • Maintain and improve Trade Support procedures and documentation

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of investment industry experience (Client Associates, Registered Representatives, Advisor Assistants, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting
  • Strong problem-solving skills and logical mindset
  • Advanced Excel/data manipulation abilities
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and deliver under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable interacting with Advisors, Traders, Developers, and Accounting staff
  • Experience in client service or customer success
  • Patient, service-driven, and an active listener

Bonus Points

  • Advanced degree (Finance, Economics, Data, etc.)
  • Experience with SQL, Jira, or brokerage platforms
  • Familiarity with financial advisors and wealth management workflows
