We are looking for an IT Security Analyst to focus on the security of our product and network. You will report to our CTO and work with our SRE Team and Software Engineers to identify security issues and build strong security into our network, tools, and processes. 

This position is perfect for a candidate with experience as part of a security team and wants an opportunity to move up.

We are looking for a leader who can work to champion best practices and help shape the evolution of the SmartX team. Ideally, you come from a background of security and leveraging cloud technologies from AWS. 

Responsibilities 

• Monitoring of web security gateways, perimeter security, network access controls, endpoint security
• Design and document Cloud Networks
• Maintain Security Policies
• Test and report on Network Vulnerabilities
• Create recommendations for further system security enhancement.
• Develop an Asset Management Program
• Configure and Manage Active Directory and Group Policies.
• Manage whitebox/blackbox vulnerability and penetration testing
• Work with development teams to implement secure coding practices
• Work with infrastructure teams to implement security in deployments
• Investigation of security breach or attempted breach alerts

Required Skills:

• Working with ISO 27001 / SOC 2 Compliance Audits
• AWS Networking / Security (VPC, IAM,  etc)
• General Networking (OSI model, OpenSSL/VPN, Routing, etc)
• Understanding of TCP/IP, common networking ports and protocols, traffic flow, system administration, OSI model, defense-in-depth and common security elements.

• Configuration Management
• Communication and Documentation Skills
