We are looking for bright and energetic individuals to join the SmartX Team to help us scale our technology solutions and grow our footprint in the fintech industry. Our Engineering Manager is responsible for managing our team of engineers, establishing the standards, processes, and environment for developers to build cutting edge software, and providing overall leadership to our engineers.

Position Requirements

• Demonstrable experience leading a team of engineers
• Background in modern development methodologies and management philosophies
• Experience with AWS and containerized architecture
• Experience with large complex systems design
• Able to navigate the tradeoffs between different solutions and designs
• Focused on operational excellence and quality
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee the software development process and manage our lead engineers
• Establish goals and timelines collaboratively with our CTO and Product team
• Create an environment designed to improve throughput and quality
• Facilitate collaboration across teams and work on our more challenging design decisions
• Promote an open and inclusive culture focused on self and company-wide improvement

Additional Requirements

• Mentors and Instructs team to follow Best Practices
• Demonstrated success with Agile Scrum Methodology
• Familiar with C#, Python, and SQL Databases
• Experience with Test Automation Processes
