Key Responsibilities / Task List
1. Daily Teacher Training & Mentoring
● Visit assigned schools daily to train teachers in CBE pedagogy.
● Conduct classroom demonstrations, modeling effective competency-based teaching practices.
● Provide hands-on guidance for lesson planning, activity execution, and classroom management.
● Mentor teachers individually and in groups to integrate CBE strategies in daily lessons.
● Follow up on previous training sessions to ensure practical implementation.
2. Teacher Capacity Building
● Conduct on-site teacher training sessions on CBE principles and methodologies.
● Provide training materials and guides tailored to each school context.
● Conduct SWOT analysis for teachers to identify strengths, gaps, and improvement areas.
● Support teachers in FLN, life skills, soft skills, and student leadership activities.
● Conduct one-on-one mentoring to ensure effective classroom execution.
3. Student Learning & Classroom Support
● Support teachers in implementing project-based and experiential learning activities.
● Encourage peer learning and collaborative exercises among students.
● Track student progress in Foundational Literacy & Numeracy (FLN), critical thinking, and life skills.
● Provide structured feedback to teachers based on classroom observations.
4. Program Implementation & Curriculum Alignment
● Assist teachers in aligning lessons with CBE principles and NEP 2020 guidelines.
● Support curriculum adaptation for different grade levels and local languages.
● Guide teachers in competency-based assessment and evaluation methods.
● Introduce innovative teaching tools and approaches to improve learning outcomes.
5. Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
● Monitor teacher performance, classroom implementation, and student learning outcomes.
● Maintain records of training sessions, lesson observations, and assessments.
● Submit weekly field reports documenting teacher and student progress.
● Use monitoring data to provide actionable recommendations for program improvement.
6. Community & Stakeholder Engagement
● Engage SMCs, parents, and community members to support student learning initiatives.
● Facilitate school-level events, exhibitions, and showcases for student work.
● Act as a liaison for program activities involving community stakeholders and partner organizations.
7. Continuous Learning & Development
● Stay updated with the latest CBE teaching methods, pedagogical research, and educational tools.
● Participate in internal training, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
● Recommend new strategies and approaches to enhance CBE implementation in schools.
8. Team Coordination
● Collaborate with program coordinators, school leadership, and other trainers to ensure consistent
program delivery.
● Share insights, challenges, and best practices during team meetings.
● Support coordinators in school-level action planning and teacher follow-ups.
Technical Skills Required
● Strong understanding of Competency-Based Education and NEP 2020 guidelines.
● Experience in teacher training, classroom mentoring, and competency-based program
implementation.
● Knowledge of FLN, life skills, and student leadership development.
● Familiarity with data collection, assessment tools, and monitoring systems.
