Xogar Games is seeking an experienced 3D Animator with Rigging expertise to join our team on a one-month contract. This role requires a candidate who can create high-quality animations and rigging solutions for our AAA games. The position requires working on-site at our office, collaborating closely with the art and development teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create fluid and dynamic 3D animations for characters, vehicles, and environmental elements, ensuring they align with gameplay requirements.
- Design and implement character and asset rigs, optimizing for both animation control and performance.
- Collaborate with the art team to ensure proper deformation, weighting, and movement of assets within Unreal Engine.
- Work closely with animators and modelers to ensure assets are production-ready and meet performance standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve rigging and animation issues, maintaining high visual fidelity and consistency.
- Optimize animations and rigs for real-time use in Unreal Engine, ensuring efficient performance on target platforms.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in 3D animation and rigging for games, with a portfolio that demonstrates strong skills in both areas.
- Proficiency in Maya, Blender, or similar 3D software for animation and rigging.
- Experience working with Unreal Engine for animation and rigging, including the use of animation blueprints, blend spaces, and control rigs.
- Strong understanding of animation principles, rigging techniques, and real-time optimization for games.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Available to work on-site for a 1-month contract.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in AAA game development or working on racing/combat games.
- Knowledge of motion capture and its integration into game animation pipelines.
- Familiarity with advanced rigging techniques for complex characters and vehicles.
