Job Description - Designer.
Wilmslow Interiors is an established family run business based in Wilmslow.
Our design studio is on the first floor with an extensive library of fabrics and wallpapers.
We also have a flooring shop on the ground floor which sells flooring.
The studio is open to the public for walk-ins to purchase wallpapers or discuss any design needs with our designer.
Your role will be predominantly - but not limited to - consulting with clients over fabrics, colours and wallpaper selections, design of window dressings and soft furnishing, managing your own projects and liaising with clients, suppliers, makers and fitters to makes sure everything runs smoothly.
 
Responsibilities
· Visiting clients at their homes to measure up for window dressings.
· Calculate fabric and wallpaper quantities needed and write instructions for curtain makers.
· Advise clients on colour schemes, wallpaper and fabric selections for upholstery, curtains and soft furnishings.
· Create mood boards.
· Place orders
· Manage your own projects from design quote to invoice and hit deadlines.
· Build relationships with clients suppliers and trades.
· Manage fabric/wallpaper with keeping up to date.
· Keeping studio clean and tidy.
Skills experience
· Self motivated.
· Excellent communication skills including verbal and written.
· Numerate.
· Excellent attention to detail.
· Organised.
· Creative.
· Self-confident.
· Full Driving licence and own car.
· Interest in interior design and a desire to keep up to date with new trends.
· Retail experience (preferred not essential).
· Interior design experience (preferred not essential).
· Experience within a creative design industry (preferable).
Working hours and employment.
Some Saturday work will be required.
Wage pro rata 23k to 30k 
Part time hours min, 28 hours.
Full time hours available.
