Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
  • Observe clients and monitor vital signs as required
  • Support medication administration in accordance with care plans and HIPAA guidelines
  • Prepare nutritious meals based on individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment through light housekeeping and sanitation
  • Safely use assistive equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts during transfers
  • Document client progress and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance mental and emotional well-being
  • Follow established care plans for clients with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or other memory-related conditions
  • Assist with transportation to medical appointments or community activities as needed
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including CPR and First Aid procedures

Experience
Previous experience in home and community care, assisted living, nursing homes, hospice, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required. Candidates with experience in patient observation, vital signs monitoring, medication assistance, dementia care, autism support, or social work will find this role well aligned with their skills. Training will be provided as needed—what matters most is a compassionate attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn.
