Virtour media(VM) is seeking an experienced videographer to support our federal clients in distinct aspects of multi-media content pre- and post-production. This individual will also help shape and implement VM’s corporate video strategy in close collaboration with the broader creative and strategic communications teams. This individual may support a broad range of multi-media products, including testimonial content, event recaps, program overview videos, social media reels, corporate videos, event photography, and more.
The successful candidate will be highly collaborative with a willingness to continuously learn and a passion for video/photo. The individual will be a part of a small but growing video team, making them pivotal to the service line’s long-term growth
Responsibilities
• Advise clientele on the optimal multi-media content for their given need (i.e., social media reel, educational series, or full-length production).
• Consult clients on video storyboards and the production process.
• Coach interviewees throughout the filming process.
• Complete Production Setup (i.e., camera, lighting, and audio setup).
• Run Camera Operations.
• Support Event and Corporate Photography.
• Capture Conference and Event Footage.
• Conduct Photo Editing.
• Complete Video Editing.
• Support stop motion graphics and short video animations for events.
• Travel to client sites for onsite productions across the nation.
Qualifications
• 5+ years of demonstrated experience in videography and photography.
• Bachelor’s Degree in video production, public administration, marketing, communications, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to compose shots with multiple camera setup as well as operate still and video cameras.
• Manage audio production and sound design.
• Ability to apply video composition principles in audio, lighting, and staging.
• Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Cloud (i.e., Lightroom, Photoshop, Illustrator, Encoder, After Effects, and InDesign basics) and relevant editing software.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Sony FX3 or similar video camera
• Experience with Sony A7iv or similar photo camera
• Cinema 4D experience
• Understanding of After Effects Motion Graphics ‘Coding’
• Experience in scriptwriting and/or storyboard illustrations.
• Preferred experience supporting federal government clients.
