Responsibilities:
Analysis of production and raw material samples for conformance with specifications using standard operating or non-routine procedures.
Make up and standardize chemical solutions used in the laboratory, concentrations, or formulations required in special tests.
Calibration and daily qualification of laboratory equipment.
Communicate results effectively to stakeholders and other interested parties.
Exhibit sound EH&S practices.
Proper use of PPE, understanding process safety concerns in your laboratory area, and reporting EH&S incidents.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry.
A minimum of 1 year’s industrial experience in a laboratory environment is required.
Willing and able to work overtime or shift hours to cover absences, sometimes on short notice.
Willing and able to wear appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment).
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple assignments.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Good observational and record-keeping skills with attention to detail, including the use of computer-based spreadsheets.
Work schedule for the job role on a biweekly basis working 5:45 AM – 6:15 PM with a 30-minute lunch break.
