Responsibilities:

  • Analysis of production and raw material samples for conformance with specifications using standard operating or non-routine procedures.

  • Make up and standardize chemical solutions used in the laboratory, concentrations, or formulations required in special tests.

  • Calibration and daily qualification of laboratory equipment.

  • Communicate results effectively to stakeholders and other interested parties.

  • Exhibit sound EH&S practices.

  • Proper use of PPE, understanding process safety concerns in your laboratory area, and reporting EH&S incidents.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry.

  • A minimum of 1 year’s industrial experience in a laboratory environment is required.

  • Willing and able to work overtime or shift hours to cover absences, sometimes on short notice.

  • Willing and able to wear appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment).

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple assignments.

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Good observational and record-keeping skills with attention to detail, including the use of computer-based spreadsheets.

  • Work schedule for the job role on a biweekly basis working 5:45 AM – 6:15 PM with a 30-minute lunch break.
