• Load Coordination:
  • Efficiently assign and schedule loads to drivers based on availability, routes, and delivery timelines.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of load requirements and customer expectations.
• Communication:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between drivers, clients, and internal teams.
  • Provide timely updates to drivers regarding load assignments, changes, and any required adjustments.
• Route Planning:
  • Develop optimal routes for drivers to minimize delays and maximize efficiency.
  • Analyze traffic patterns and weather conditions to make informed routing decisions.
• Monitoring & Tracking:
  • Utilize dispatch software and GPS systems to monitor the location and progress of trucks in real-time.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during transportation.
• Problem-Solving:
  • Address any issues or concerns that arise during transit, including delays, route changes, or emergencies.
  • Collaborate with drivers to identify solutions and ensure timely deliveries.
• Documentation:
  • Manage and maintain all necessary paperwork, including load confirmations, delivery receipts, and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure accurate data entry and record-keeping in dispatch systems.
• Customer Service:
  • Interact with clients to provide updates on shipments and address any inquiries or concerns.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and drivers to foster a positive working environment.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in trucking dispatch or logistics is preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient in dispatch software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety compliance is a plus.
