Job Brief:

One of the largest single-family home property management companies is in need of a SKILLED HANDYMAN, to do work on the properties we manage. We are looking for someone that is entrepreneurial-minded and can accurately manage their schedule. The perfect candidate would be someone that has worked for themselves before and now needs a stable income.

We are seeking a Construction & Maintenance Tech to join our team! You will be responsible for driving to work orders assigned by the coordinator, troubleshooting the problem, and taking appropriate action to repair the problem. There are also larger remodeling and construction jobs that take a week to a month to complete.

This is not an onsite maintenance position. We manage small apartment complexes and single-family homes, and our properties range from Hillsboro to SE Portland and down to Tualatin. Work orders are assigned to techs who manage their jobs and hours on our vendor software program (accessible via computer and smart phone).

Responsibilities:

• This position is fully in the field. You will be responsible for creating your schedule from the work orders we give you. We will need a valid driver’s license, a reliable vehicle covered by insurance, and you'll just need to have your own tools.

• Complete work and repair orders in a timely fashion

• Be able to estimate the time and extent of repairs

Skills Required:

• Must be a jack of all trades (light plumbing, light electrical, carpentry etc). Additional compensation structure available for holding journeyman plumbing card. 
• Must be able to troubleshoot and efficiently solve issues in the least amount of time.
• Previous experience in maintenance or other related fields
• Previous experience in residential/apartment maintenance preferred
• Ability to travel from site to site
• Reliable transportation and driver's license
• Own maintenance tools and equipment
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• You will be interacting with the residents living in the homes, so you must have excellent communication skills.
