Job Brief: Forklift Driver - Reporting to the Floor Manager

Location: Greater Manchester

We have 3 have branches, 2 in Glasgow and 1 at Gateshead in the North East of England and we are about to open a new branch in the Greater Manchester area. We are primarily a Cash & Carry Wholesale business with a wide product portfolio consisting of Beers, Wines, Spirits, Soft Drinks, Confectionary, Crisps and Snacks, Household and Grocery.

Responsibilities: 

·       Receiving, moving, checking, and storing incoming goods using a forklift.

·        Unloading deliveries with a forklift truck.

·        Matching up deliveries from the goods received note to the relevant purchase order

·        Proactively liaising with the shop floor supervisors to ensure space for deliveries

·        Reporting any discrepancies

·        Prepare and complete orders for transfer or delivery

·        Keep a clean and safe working environment·      

Skills Required:

Able to work in a high-volume, fast paced role

·       Work in a safe manner conferring to all health & safety rules & regulations when operating a fork lift truck

·       Highly accurate and have excellent attention to detail in your work

·       Able to work well in a team

·       Able to work quickly and to deadlines

·       Have a forklift truck licence (or willing to perform the required training to obtain)
