Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform remote support, troubleshooting, and network monitoring
  • Perform network maintenance tasks such as patching, upgrades and best practice implementation
  • Ability to quickly prioritize and make quick decisions and recommendations
  • Participate in SWAT Team as necessary for onsite/unplanned (Reactive Alert emergencies
  • Ability to work with top-level executives in a professional and expeditious manner
  • Maintain accurate ticket details and time reporting on a daily basis
  • Flexibility to work different shifts on an as-needed basis
  • Participate in regularly scheduled team huddles, prepared to report on your individual metrics including reasons for deviation
  • Member of On-Call rotation as scheduled and required to support our clients
  • Keep documentation up-to-date

Skills and Experience of an IT Support Engineer:

  • Diagnose & Resolve hardware and software issues
    • Hardware troubleshooting knowledge required.
  • Experience with major hardware vendors – Dell, HP, etc.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems – desktop and server
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Exchange, SQL, etc.) required
  • Experience with Hyper-V virtualization is required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office365 is required
  • Advanced networking knowledge (VLAN, DNS, switches, firewalls, VPN, etc.) is required
  • Experience with wireless systems and technologies
  • Experience hyper-converged infrastructure is a plus
  • Experience with cloud hosting services is a plus (Azure, AWS)
  • Experience with network security is a plus
  • In-depth knowledge of ConnectWise & LabTech is a plus
  • General understanding of VoIP systems a plus.
  • Scripting skills are a plus
