Warehouse Stock Controller / Stores Person - Join Our Dynamic Team!

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Location: Radcliffe, Manchester Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm (40 hours per week) Salary: Competitive

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Warehouse Stock Controller / Stores Person to join our team at our Radcliffe warehouse and production site. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our goods in and despatch processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently manage the acceptance of deliveries from 3rd party suppliers.
  • Process items from our on-site sensor production facility.
  • Utilise a computerised stock control system to accurately book products in.
  • Utilise our product labeling software effectively.
  • Package products securely and appropriately for storage.
  • Process items into predetermined shelf, pallet, or floor locations.
  • Handle the picking and checking of sales orders and component lists.
  • Read sales orders and component lists accurately.
  • Retrieve the correct number and type of items and place them in production containers or on packing benches.
  • Perform checks on sensor production jobs using appropriate test equipment, ensuring accurate dimensions and functionality.
  • Pick, label, and pack items with consideration for weight and fragility of each order.
  • Book despatches accurately onto our courier systems.
  • Apply precise labeling to all despatches.
  • Load goods into courier vehicles (pedestrian FLT license is advantageous).
  • Perform end-of-day clean-up and put away activities.
  • Conduct regular stock-taking procedures.
  • Adhere to general warehouse practices.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
  • Attentive to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in using stock control and label printing software.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety practices.
  • Pedestrian FLT license is advantageous.
