Warehouse Operative

Salary: £23,500 per annum

Summary:

Our Client is looking for a dedicated Warehouse Operative to join their Operations team in Marchington. As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely receipt, dispatch, and maintenance of products and equipment. Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and organised warehouse environment are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Provide support to ensure accurate picking and dispatch of products in accordance with transport advice notes.
• Perform diligent scanning of dispatched products using the warehouse management system (currently GRGI).
• Maintain parts stock locations within the main warehouse, ensuring correct quantities, and promptly identifying and reporting out-of-stock items.
• Accurately receive stock into the warehouse using SAP and WMS GRGI, including 3rd party products.
• Assist in controlling warehouse stocks, conducting planned checks of stock inventory, and investigating discrepancies with appropriate documentation.
• Implement visual management practices to ensure the quality of products throughout the warehouse.
• Highlight any dispatch discrepancies to the stock controller and warehouse supervisor promptly.
• Adhere to established health and safety protocols, including the presence of third-party personnel on-site.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 GCSEs at grades A to D.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

• Proficient in using PC, with a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
• Prior experience in a challenging warehouse environment is essential.
