Position: Belt Splicer / Roller Technician
Roster: 2:1 (2 weeks on, 1 week off)
Pay Rate: $75 per hour 
Location: FIFO from Perth to Port Hedland (BHP and Rio Tinto sites)
Job Type: Full-time, Regular Shutdown Work

Job Description: As a Belt Splicer / Roller Technician, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of conveyor belts and rollers to ensure continuous operation and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Repair and splice conveyor belts using adhesives, vulcanizing processes, or mechanical fasteners.
• Inspect belts and rollers for damage or wear and diagnose issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance to extend the life of conveyor belts and rollers.
• Install new belts or sections of belts as needed.
• Adhere to strict safety protocols during all splicing and maintenance processes.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Belt Splicer / Roller Technician in the mining industry.
• Proficiency in cutting, shaping, and joining conveyor belts.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Availability for a 2:1 roster (2 weeks on, 1 week off).
