Job Brief:

Unified Restorations focuses on the Laundry / Dry Cleaning of textiles damaged by water, smoke or breakage.

We are seeking a dependable Laundry Technician to clean and tag clothing and other personal items. In this role, you will also be responsible for packing and delivering back homeowner items during the restoration process.

Responsibilities:

• Gather clothing and other personal items from homes where a fire or water damage has occurred.
• Load and move bags that contain a large amount of clothes to be loaded into vans. This may include stairs.
• At our facility, determining the cleanability of items
• Must be able to read cleaning labels and determine cleaning method for various fabrics
• Sort, wash, dry and fold laundry
• Drive company van (a regular driver's license is required)
• Delivery of cleaned items back to the home where the damage originally occurred.
• Ability to work overtime, if needed.
• Additional responsibilities as requested

Skills Required:

• You will be trained at our facility.
• Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment used in dry cleaning and laundering processes is preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours on occasion to include evening and weekends as needed.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Have a valid Driver’s License.
• No felonies or theft convictions.
• Ability to carry bags of clothing and other items using stairs
• Legally allowed to work in the US.

As a Unified Restorations team member, you will be expected to:

• Pass a background check that includes drug testing.
• Be ethical, respectful and understand that our customers may have a strong emotional connection to their belongings.
• Handle general office administration responsibilities, such as ordering supplies, answering client questions / phone calls.

Job Details:

• This is a full-time position with an expected 40 hours per week
• 8-hour shift with possible overtime
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday (occasionally weekends may be needed)
• Location: Carrollton

Compensation:

• Pay range of $14 to $18 per hour. 
• Vacation.
