We are on the lookout for a Direct to Agent Acquisitions Manager Intern to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in expanding our network within the real estate community, sourcing valuable off-market properties from real estate agents, and contributing to our overall acquisition strategy.

Responsibilities:

  1. Relationship Building:

    • Forge and sustain solid, long-lasting relationships with real estate agents and brokers.
    • Proactively identify and engage with influential figures in the real estate sector to broaden the company's network.
  2. Sourcing Properties:

    • Partner with marketing teams to devise and dispatch campaigns aimed at real estate agents and brokers to procure off-market properties.
    • Tap into the company’s existing sourcing channels and marketing initiatives to pinpoint prospective off-market properties.
    • Utilize both new and established connections with real estate agents and brokers to gain first or exclusive access to emerging off-market opportunities.
  3. Acquisitions:

    • Assess potential property acquisitions through detailed financial analysis, thorough market research, and comparison with similar sales.
    • Skillfully negotiate purchase terms and conditions with agents and brokers.
    • Manage the sending of agreements and ensure expedited receipt of signatures.
  4. Disposition:

    • Collaborate with the dispositions team to relay vital details, aiming to sell properties within an average timeframe of 25 days or less.
    • Develop strategies alongside the Dispositions team for the rapid processing of acquired properties.
  5. Market Analysis:

    • Keep abreast of market trends, property valuations, and pertinent real estate news.
    • Leverage market intelligence to shape acquisition strategies and predict investment performances.
    • Offer actionable insights to the company regarding potential market opportunities and risks.
  6. Reporting:

    • Maintain meticulous records of all dealings, transactions, and market research in the company CRM.
    • Generate and present detailed reports to senior management on acquisition activities, pipeline status, and market observations.
    • Monitor KPIs daily and scrutinize performance data to pinpoint improvement opportunities in the acquisition process.
  7. Collaboration with Internal Teams:

    • Engage closely with departments like dispositions, transaction coordination, and operations to optimize the acquisition and disposition workflows.
    • Work in conjunction with the marketing team to fine-tune targeting efforts based on successful acquisition sources.
  8. Professional Development:

    • Continuously update skills and knowledge through educational and professional development opportunities.
    • Coach and guide junior team members in effective acquisition techniques and relationship management.
  9. Technology Utilization:

    • Employ CRM systems for managing relationships and documenting interactions with agents and brokers.
    • Embrace innovative technologies to enhance the efficiency of sourcing and managing new off-market properties and relationships.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Bachelor's degree program, preferably in Sales, Business Administration, Real Estate, Finance, or related fields.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Strong analytical prowess, with a capacity for conducting comprehensive market research and data analysis.
  • Proficiency in the use of CRM software and Google Products.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, juggle multiple tasks, and adhere to strict deadlines.
  • Innovative and strategic thinking with a penchant for problem-solving.
  • A genuine interest in real estate and a strong willingness to learn and advance in the area of property acquisitions.

Duration and Compensation:

This is a 3-month unpaid WFH internship position at Storydoor, with the possibility of a full-time paid position based on exceptional performance and company needs. If offered the full-time position, a good Acquisitions Manager can make $75,000-$100,000 a year. If you're stellar, you can make $150,000+.
