Position Overview

We are seeking skilled Welders & Fitters to join a leading turnkey manufacturer in the natural gas industry. The Welders & Fitters in this role will perform advanced structural welding and fitting, complete required tests, and work with large structural components in a high-quality fabrication environment.

Required Tests

• Fluxcore vision test on beam and pipe
• Uphill, overhead, and flat welding on beam
• Flat welding on pipe
• 3G double bevel on 1"plate, butted up
– Test will be shot per code
– Must carbon arc back, then fill and cap in same 3G position

Key Responsibilities

• Structural Fitters must take an open book written test
• Work with I-beam sizes ranging from 6x25 to 12x50
• Fit and weld finished units ranging from 8’ x 20’ to 16’ x 50’
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and general weld procedures
• Follow AWS D1.1 welding codes and standards
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts safely

Qualifications

• Proven welding and fitting experience
• Ability to pass all required weld tests
• Strong blueprint reading and structural fabrication knowledge
• Ability to safely operate material-handling equipment
• Experience working with large structural assemblies preferred
