Position Overview

Stand-By Personnel is seeking an entry-level Welder looking to grow skills and build a long-term career in steel fabrication. This Welder role is ideal for candidates with some MIG welding experience who want hands-on training, steady hours, and room for pay increases as skills improve.

What the Welder Will Be Doing

• Perform MIG welding on steel frames and building components
• Use 7” grinders, scrapers, and gougers to prep and finish materials
• Assist with fitting and fabrication tasks as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies

Required Qualifications for the Welder

• Some MIG welding experience (certifications a plus, not required)
• Willingness to learn and improve welding and fitting skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, squat, kneel, and stand for extended periods
• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
