Location: Oklahoma City, OK 73135
Pay Rate: $23.00/hr (+ 10% Shift Differential)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 5:30 AM (Sunday – Wednesday) | 9:00 PM – 5:30 AM (Thursday & Friday)
Hours: 56 Hours Per Week
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Welder to support our manufacturing operations in Oklahoma City. The ideal candidate will be proficient in interpreting manufacturing instructions and performing a variety of welding tasks, including motor repair operations. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work with various welding equipment to produce high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities:
· Welding Operations:
o Perform MIG, TIG, stick welding, and oxy-acetylene torch operations.
o Fabricate components by cutting, burning, preparing, and welding metal pieces, ensuring correct assembly and dimensional accuracy.
o Set up and calibrate welding equipment while selecting the appropriate welding methods and techniques for each task.
· Interpretation & Compliance:
o Read and apply weld symbols, blueprints, diagrams, and work orders to complete tasks accurately.
o Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
· Equipment Handling:
o Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, coil lifters, and hydraulic systems safely and efficiently.
· Quality Control & Documentation:
o Accurately complete process control records and other documentation as required.
o Ensure all welds meet quality standards and specifications.
· General Duties:
o Work independently while effectively managing tasks and time.
o Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in optimal condition.
o Follow instructions and contribute positively to team efforts.
Qualifications & Skills:
· Education:
o High school diploma or GED required.
· Experience:
o Minimum of 2 years of related welding experience and/or training.
o Proficiency in welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
· Technical Skills:
o Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and weld symbols.
o Familiarity with welding tools and machinery, including overhead cranes and forklifts.
o Accurate measurement capabilities using tape measures, micrometers, and other measuring tools.
· Physical Requirements:
o Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical assessment.
o Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
· Other Requirements:
o Must have own tools and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
o Ability to pass a nationwide criminal background check.
