Job Description:

The Assembly role involves building bundles and requires experience with plenums/drivers for air-cooled heat exchangers, as well as tube expansion, hydro, dry out, and N2 purge. The ideal candidate must be able to teach and instruct others in these tasks. Responsibilities include reading blueprints and building bundles/sections, accordingly, calculating and reading expansion measurements, setting up and adjusting expansion machine/gun settings, and performing all plug and cover duties such as choosing suitable thread lubricant, soap bubble testing, hydrostatic testing, and preparing for helium testing. Proficiency in operating overhead cranes and forklifts is essential.

The candidate must be able to detect safe and unsafe acts and have the willingness to stop unsafe acts. Strong communication skills are required to teach and lead others in bundle/section assembly tasks in the air-cooled heat exchanger industry. If the candidate lacks air-cooled heat exchanger experience, experience in the shell and tube industry may be sufficient. The job demands physical activity, including working on your feet six days per week, lifting, pushing, pulling, and bending with up to 50 lbs. of weight. Knowledge of rigging for overhead cranes and general lifting is necessary. A minimum of two years of prior assembly-related experience is required.
