Position Overview

We are hiring skilled Vessel Welders to join a leading fabrication team in Catoosa. This position requires the ability to pass a 3G MIG/Flux Core weld test and involves working on vessels with precision and efficiency. A successful Vessel Welder will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high-quality standards in every project.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate advanced welding equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work orders.
• Inspect finished products for accuracy, appearance, and compliance with quality assurance standards.
• Safely weld vessel components and ensure all work meets specifications.
• Perform troubleshooting and advanced adjustments on welding machines to maintain efficiency.
• Participate in weld procedure improvement planning to enhance safety and productivity.
• Operate required tools and follow strict safety practices at all times.
• Handle small parts and complete basic data entry for maintenance and production reporting.
• Work in confined spaces and crawl in/out of vessels as required.

Requirements

• Must be able to pass a 3G MIG/Flux Core weld test.
• Previous experience welding on vessels or heavy steel.
• Strong knowledge of volts, amps, and weld machine adjustments.
• Ability to detect defects and maintain production averages at or above standard.
• Basic math skills and safety training.
• Capable of lifting and handling heavy materials and working in confined spaces.
• Good communication skills and ability to coordinate across departments.
• 6+ months of material handling experience or equivalent knowledge.
