Job Title: Vessel Welder
Pay: $23+/hour DOE
Shift: Day Shift | Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Location: Catoosa, OK
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Test Requirement: Must pass a 3G MIG/Flux Core Weld Test

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Vessel Welder to join our team in Catoosa. The ideal candidate will be experienced in MIG and Flux Core welding and capable of passing a 3G weld test. This position requires strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work within high-quality standards. The role involves welding, equipment setup, and collaboration with other departments to ensure safety, efficiency, and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

·         Set up, troubleshoot, and operate advanced welding equipment safely and efficiently.

·         Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work orders.

·         Perform high-quality welds and repair defective products to meet specifications.

·         Plan welding procedures and inspect completed work for quality and accuracy.

·         Operate equipment to weld in various positions, including confined spaces (inside vessels).

·         Monitor and adjust voltage and amperage as needed to maintain welding quality.

·         Detect and address defects, ensuring compliance with quality standards.

·         Maintain accurate data entry related to equipment maintenance or production issues.

·         Participate in continuous improvement planning and procedural updates.

·         Coordinate and communicate effectively with coworkers and management.

Qualifications

·         Must pass a 3G MIG/Flux Core weld test

·         Minimum 6 months of material handling experience or equivalent knowledge

·         Firm understanding of volts/amps and ability to make precise adjustments

·         Basic math and data entry skills

·         Ability to read and interpret blueprints, procedures, and technical documents

·         Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude

·         Strong attention to safety and quality procedures

·         Physically able to work in and out of vessels and handle small parts

·         Able to consistently meet or exceed production standards

·         Basic safety training required
