Hours: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM, 7 days a week
Pay: $18/hour

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Valve Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and testing of various valve systems in industrial and commercial settings. The Valve Technician will ensure all valves operate efficiently and comply with safety and regulatory standards. This position requires a strong mechanical background and the ability to work in fast-paced and dynamic environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation and Maintenance:

  • Install, repair, and maintain a variety of valves (ball, gate, globe, check, pressure relief, etc.).
  • Perform regular inspections and diagnostics of valve systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair or replace malfunctioning valves.

Testing and Calibration:

  • Conduct tests to ensure valves meet operational standards.
  • Calibrate valves to meet system requirements.
  • Verify valve performance under pressure and flow conditions.

Documentation:

  • Record all maintenance, repair, and calibration procedures.
  • Maintain logs of inspections and modifications.

Safety Compliance:

  • Follow all safety protocols, regulations, and company guidelines.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance (local, state, federal).
  • Perform risk assessments and safety checks.

Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:

  • Respond to emergency service calls.
  • Diagnose and resolve performance issues.
  • Work with teams to address complex system problems.

Collaboration:

  • Work with engineers, project managers, and technical teams.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance.

Customer Service:

  • Interact with clients to resolve valve-related concerns.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through professional service.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree or certification a plus).
  • Experience in an industrial/mechanical setting as a valve technician.
  • Strong understanding of valve systems and repair techniques.
  • Familiarity with manual, automatic, pneumatic, and hydraulic valves.
  • Knowledge of safety standards.
  • Ability to use diagnostic equipment and tools.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift heavy equipment and work in physically demanding conditions.
  • Work in confined spaces and at heights.
  • Comfortable in industrial environments, including varied weather.
