Valve Technician

  • Pay: $18.00 per hour

  • Hours: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM, 7 days a week

  • Location: Broken Arrow, OK

  • Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Valve Technician to join our team in a dynamic industrial environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and testing of various valve systems to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities

Installation and Maintenance

  • Install, maintain, and repair valves including ball, gate, globe, check, and pressure relief valves.

  • Perform inspections and diagnostics to ensure systems function properly.

  • Troubleshoot and repair valve malfunctions.

Testing and Calibration

  • Conduct operational tests and calibrations on valve systems.

  • Verify system performance under pressure and flow specifications.

  • Adjust valve settings according to system requirements.

Documentation

  • Maintain detailed records of installations, inspections, calibrations, and repairs.

  • Ensure all documentation complies with internal and regulatory standards.

Safety Compliance

  • Follow company safety procedures and industry regulations.

  • Perform risk assessments and ensure valve systems meet local, state, and federal requirements.

Troubleshooting and Support

  • Respond to emergency calls for valve repairs.

  • Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to resolve system issues.

Customer Interaction

  • Communicate with clients to assess issues and deliver prompt, professional solutions.

  • Ensure high levels of service satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required (associate degree or certification preferred).

  • Proven experience as a Valve Technician in industrial or mechanical settings.

  • Proficient in valve repair and maintenance across various valve types.

  • Skilled in reading technical drawings and schematics.

  • Strong mechanical knowledge, including pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift heavy equipment and work in physically demanding conditions.

  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.

  • Comfortable working in various weather conditions and industrial environments.
