Sub Arc Welder

Pay: $26-30/hr.

Hours: Monday- Friday 6AM-6PM

Job Description:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience welding pressure vessels or heat exchanger components Moderate knowledge and ability to weld with some, but not all, of SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW & SAW thermal processes in the manufacturing of various types of pressure vessels and heat exchangers. Must be able to pass a weld qualification test to acquire code stamp. Ability to read prints for both required specifications as well as dimensions. Ability to weld within the parameters of a WPS/PQR Skills in arc gouging process. Ability to consistently maintain less than a 5% X-Ray repair rate. Ability to be efficient at fixing X-Ray and UT repairs.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to safely lift fifty pounds. Ability to work in a shop environment in all seasons. Ability to safely enter and work productively in confined spaces of an exchanger or vessel. Must be able to safely tie off and work from elevated heights on top of exchanger or vessel.
