Structural Welder – Night Shift

·         Hours: Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM – 3:30 AM (Occasional Saturdays)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Structural Welder to join our team for night shift operations. This is a safety-sensitive position that involves working with heavy equipment such as overhead cranes, forklifts, power tools, and automated machinery. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong welding skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

·         Perform fillet, tack, and full-penetration welds on steel structural joints using GMAW and FCAW.

·         Calibrate welding equipment according to welding procedure specifications.

·         Clean and grind welds and materials post-welding as needed.

·         Set up welding equipment for a variety of positions.

·         Operate material handling equipment, including overhead cranes, pallet jacks, and dollies.

·         Inspect work for accuracy, identifying and correcting any defects.

·         Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

·         Conduct pre- and post-shift equipment inspections.

·         Adhere to all company safety protocols and quality procedures.

·         Report any equipment or product issues to the supervisor immediately.

Requirements

·         Minimum of 1 year welding experience and/or welding school graduate.

·         Ability to set up, operate, and evaluate welding and cutting equipment, including:

o    Oxygen and fuel gas cutting tools

o    Plasma cutting tools

o    AC/DC welding machines

·         Must pass a welding qualification test.
