Position Overview

The Structural Welder is responsible for welding, fabricating, and repairing metal components in a fabrication shop environment. This Structural Welder role involves working from blueprints and specifications to produce high-quality welds while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.

The ideal Structural Welder is experienced in multiple welding processes, detail-oriented, and capable of producing structurally sound welds in a fast-paced production environment.

Required Experience & Skills

• Previous welding or metal fabrication experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements
• Knowledge of welding safety procedures and best practices
• Experience with MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding processes
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a shop environment

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding on structural steel and metal components
• Fabricate and assemble metal parts and structures according to specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Inspect welds to ensure quality, strength, and structural integrity
• Maintain welding equipment and tools in proper working condition
• Follow all company safety procedures and policies
• Assist with additional fabrication or shop tasks as needed

• Frequent standing, lifting, bending, and handling heavy materials
• Fast-paced production setting requiring precision and consistency
