Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Structural Fitter/Welder to join a fabrication shop in Tulsa. The Structural Fitter/Welder in this role will be responsible for fitting, aligning, and welding structural components according to blueprints, drawings, and fabrication standards. Candidates must bring strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced shop environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Fit and align structural steel components per blueprints and shop drawings
• Perform MIG and Flux Core welding using approved procedures
• Use tape measures, squares, levels, and layout tools to prepare and assemble parts
• Interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication specifications
• Ensure work meets quality, dimensional, and safety standards
• Operate hand tools, grinders, cutting torches, and fabrication equipment
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Work effectively with fabricators, welders, and supervisors to meet production goals

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of Structural Fitter/Welder experience required
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings
• Strong proficiency in MIG and Flux Core processes
• Ability to fit, square, layout, and align steel components
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in a shop environment
• Must be safety-conscious, reliable, and able to work independently
