Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Structural Fitter/Welder to join a reputable Tulsa-based company specializing in large-scale welded structures. The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of experience in structural welding and fitting, the ability to read and interpret blueprints, and hands-on knowledge of I-beam fabrication. This Structural Fitter/Welder position requires successful completion of a Fluxcore vision and code test and includes operating overhead cranes and forklifts.

Required Experience & Skills

• 2–3 years of experience in structural welding and fitting
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and general weld procedures (AWS D1.1)
• Familiarity with I-beam sizes ranging from 6x25 to 12x50
• Experience working on finished units ranging from 8’ x 20’ to 16’ x 50’
• Overhead crane and forklift operation required
• Must pass an open book written test (Structural Fitter)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

As a Structural Fitter/Welder, your responsibilities will include:
• Performing structural welds on beams and pipe using Fluxcore process
• Passing a weld test that includes:
 - Fluxcore vision test on beam and pipe
 - Uphill, overhead, and flat welding on beam
 - Flat welding on pipe
 - 3G double bevel on 1" plate (butted up), carbon arc back then fill and cap in the same 3G position
 - Welds will be tested per code
• Ensuring all work meets high-quality standards and project specifications
• Adhering to safety procedures while operating tools and equipment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 lbs+ as needed with or without assistance
• Must be able to stand, bend, kneel, and climb throughout the shift
• Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment
