Job Opening: Steel Erector / Ironworker

Pay: $18–$25/hour (Based on Experience)
Project Duration: Approximately 3 weeks (potential for 4 weeks)

Location: Tinker Air Force Base (must be eligible for base access)
Note: Must be ready for base access processing by June 3

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Steel Erectors/Ironworkers for a fast-paced, short-term project at Tinker AFB. This role involves working at heights of 30–50 feet and operating scissor lifts while maintaining strict safety standards. This is an excellent opportunity for highly reliable professionals to join a safety-first crew on a high-visibility project.

Job Requirements

• Must be able to pass a strict background check — no exceptions
• Valid Real ID, driver’s license, current vehicle tags, and insurance required
• Must be comfortable working at heights
• Prior experience operating scissor lifts
• 100% reliability required — must be available June 3 for security clearance processing

Job Responsibilities

• Safely lift, position, and connect steel beams, columns, girders, joists, and other structural components using cranes and hoisting equipment
• Guide structural steel into place with tag lines, tools, and precise coordination
• Bolt or weld steel components securely at various elevations
• Perform initial fit-up to ensure proper alignment, level, and plumb
• Install structural decking, purlins, and girts
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding, temporary structures, and work platforms as needed
• Operate hand and power tools (e.g., wrenches, impact guns, grinders, torches, welding tools)
• Rig and hoist steel elements using slings, cables, and chains
• Communicate clearly with crane operators, riggers, and supervisors
• Follow all OSHA and company safety standards, including fall protection, PPE use, and lockout/tagout procedures
• Inspect work for accuracy, structural integrity, and compliance with specifications
• Attend daily safety briefings and contribute to a strong safety culture
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free worksite
