Spill Technician

Pay: $17–$19/hour DOE
Location: Tulsa, OK
Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (hours may vary; potential weekends and on-call)

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Spill Technician to join our Tulsa team. The Spill Technician will assist in spill response operations on land and water, handle equipment setup and cleanup, and ensure compliance with safety protocols. As a Spill Technician, you will work in a hands-on environment, supporting both field operations and shop duties while maintaining readiness for emergency response situations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Deploy and recover oil spill containment boom and related equipment
• Support emergency spill response operations under direction of senior staff
• Clean, inspect, and maintain response tools, pumps, skimmers, and absorbents
• Load and unload equipment and materials for field use
• Perform general shop duties, including inventory management and prep work
• Follow all safety protocols and use appropriate PPE at all times
• Participate in training and drills to maintain response readiness

Required Skills & Experience

• Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience
• Experience with forklift, shipping/receiving, and machine operations
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Willingness to travel and work irregular hours, including nights and weekends, for emergency response
• Mechanical aptitude or familiarity with tools and equipment
