Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Shop Trainee to join our dynamic team and support experienced technicians across various production areas, including Winding, Stacking, Assembly, Tanking, Insulation, and Fabrication. Key Responsibilities:

·         Assist technicians across multiple production workstations, gaining hands-on experience in diverse processes.

·         Read and accurately interpret manufacturing instructions, Bills of Materials (BOM), and production schedules.

·         Operate hand tools, power tools, cranes, and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.

·         Maintain focus, follow directions, and consistently demonstrate a positive attitude.

·         Ensure compliance with all safety guidelines and workplace regulations.

·         Lift, move, and handle materials up to 50 lbs as required.

·         Maintain a strong attendance record and punctuality.

·         Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors to support production goals.

Qualifications:

·         Experience: 1-3 years of manufacturing experience required.

·         Education: High school diploma or GED required; prior work experience or training is a plus.

·         Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical examination.

·         Ability to pass a nationwide criminal background check.

Skills & Abilities:

·         Ability to read and comprehend instructions, basic correspondence, and memos.

·         Strong mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, and working with fractions/decimals.

·         Basic computer proficiency to navigate job-related software and systems.

·         Good problem-solving abilities with the capacity to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

·         Ability to work independently and as part of a team, maintaining a positive and focused work ethic.

Physical Demands:

·         Frequent standing, using hands, reaching, and moving in various positions, including stooping, kneeling, and crawling.

·         Ability to lift:

o    10 lbs regularly

o    25 lbs frequently

o    Up to 50 lbs occasionally

·         Specific vision abilities required include peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Work Environment:

·         Exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes, and airborne particles.

·         Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts and elevated workspaces.

·         Moderate noise levels typical of an industrial environment.
