Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable Shop Helper to support fabrication and production operations in a safety-sensitive manufacturing environment. The Shop Helper works alongside skilled craftsmen to ensure productivity, quality, and safety standards are met while contributing to efficient project completion.

What the Shop Helper Will Be Doing

• Work with and around overhead cranes, forklifts, trucks, power equipment, automated equipment, and other hazardous processes (safety-sensitive position)
• Assist craftsmen with assigned tasks and daily production needs
• Maintain productivity levels in accordance with company work instructions
• Ensure workmanship meets established quality standards
• Follow all safety policies and procedures at all times
• Sustain 5S workplace organization requirements
• Contribute professionally as a team member and provide input to support timely, efficient project completion while upholding safety and quality standards

Required Skills & Experience for the Shop Helper

• Basic fabrication shop experience preferred
• Ability to operate overhead cranes and power tools
• Ability to read and write basic shop communications
• Ability to accurately use a tape measure
• Willingness to learn how to read shop drawings and understand bills of material
• Strong desire and ability to learn new skills
