Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Shop Helper to support fabrication and production operations during the evening shift. This role is classified as a Safety Sensitive position and requires working around overhead cranes, forklifts, power equipment, and other hazardous processes.

The Shop Helper will assist craftsmen with assigned tasks while maintaining productivity, quality standards, and strict adherence to safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Work safely in a Safety Sensitive position around overhead cranes, forklifts, trucks, and power equipment
• Assist craftsmen with assigned craft tasks
• Maintain productivity levels in accordance with established work instructions
• Ensure workmanship meets company quality standards
• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Sustain 5S requirements
• Demonstrate a professional, team-oriented attitude
• Provide input to help complete projects efficiently and on time while upholding safety and quality standards

Required Qualifications

• Basic fabrication shop experience
• Ability to operate overhead cranes and power tools
• Ability to read and write basic shop communications
• Ability to use a shop tape measure
• Willingness to learn shop drawings and bill of materials
• Strong ability and willingness to learn new skills
