Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Shop Helper to support daily operations in a fabrication environment. The Shop Helper plays a key role assisting craftsmen, operating basic shop equipment, and maintaining safety and quality standards in a fast-paced, safety-sensitive manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Work in and around overhead cranes, forklifts, trucks, power equipment, automated machines, and other hazardous processes — this is a SAFETY SENSITIVE position
• Assist craftsmen with assigned tasks and fabrication activities
• Meet established productivity requirements as defined by work instructions
• Ensure all work meets the company’s quality standards
• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Sustain 5S shop requirements
• Perform professionally as part of a team and provide input to support timely project completion
• Uphold all safety and quality expectations consistently

Skills & Experience Requirements

• Basic fabrication shop experience
• Ability to operate overhead cranes and power tools
• Ability to read and write basic shop communications
• Able to use a shop tape measure
• Willingness to learn to read shop drawings and understand the bill of materials
• Must be eager and willing to learn new skills
