Shear Operator

Location: Sapulpa, OK
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
Shift: Sunday - Thursday, 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM (Training required on day shift for at least one week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Shear Operator to join our climate-controlled, organized warehouse in Sapulpa, OK. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in warehouse and machine operations and be eager to expand their skill set. Key Responsibilities

·         Machine Operations: Set up and operate shears to cut metal plates accurately per customer specifications.

·         Quality Control: Inspect cut plates for dimensional accuracy and surface quality to ensure they meet company and industry standards.

·         Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on shearing equipment to ensure efficiency and longevity.

·         Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.

·         Collaboration: Work closely with production and quality control teams to coordinate operations and resolve issues.

·         Data & Inventory Management: Use computer systems for documentation and inventory control.

Qualifications & Requirements

·         Experience:

o    Minimum 2 years of proven shear operator experience.

o    Prior experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes.

o    Background in warehouse and inventory management systems.

·         Technical Skills:

o    Ability to read a tape measure down to 1/16 inch.

o    Strong math skills for quick calculations.

o    Proficiency in computer systems for inventory tracking.

·         Physical Demands:

o    Ability to lift 50+ pounds when moving materials.

·         Work Ethic:

o    Team-oriented with strong communication and organizational skills.

o    Self-sufficient with the ability to work independently when needed.
