Hours: 6AM-4:30PM (Will be switching to night shift in the fall)

Job Description:

The Senior Industrial Painter will operate cleaning equipment and prepare machinery for painting, demonstrating proficiency in mixing and applying various paint systems to meet customer and company specifications. This role includes operating sandblast equipment, masking and feathering old paint for new applications, and maintaining thorough knowledge of required tools and maintenance care. Responsibilities include completing paint compliance logs, Dry Film Thickness (DFT) readings, Psychrometer readings, and Surface Temperature readings, while adhering to all relevant HSSE guidelines. The ideal candidate will promote safety, production efficiency, and a positive attitude. They must work collaboratively with the team to develop improved work processes for the department and troubleshoot manufacturing issues, providing effective solutions. The role also involves verifying paint thickness and blast anchor patterns. Although infrequent, the use of computers and office equipment such as copiers, printers, telephones, and calendars is required. Frequent operation of heavy equipment, including forklifts and scissor lifts, is necessary. Additionally, the Senior Industrial Painter will participate in group discussions and meetings, maintain equipment, and ensure a clean work area.

Required Experience:

• Extensive experience operating forklifts and scissor lifts.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills for effective task prioritization.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording and handling materials.
• Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects, as the role may involve manual handling.
• Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions from supervisors.
• Valid driver’s license.
