Saw Operator

Pay: $17–$21/hour (DOE)
Hours: Monday–Friday | 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM

Position Overview

An oil and gas construction company in Tulsa is seeking an experienced Saw Operator to join its fabrication team. This Saw Operator role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in metal fabrication or welding environments who understand precision cutting, pipe materials, and shop safety requirements.

What the Saw Operator Will Be Doing

• Operate shop bandsaws, drill presses, and standard fabrication equipment
• Accurately measure, cut, and prepare pipe per blueprints and fabrication drawings
• Identify pipe diameters, wall thicknesses, material grades, and heat numbers for documentation
• Layout and prepare Olet connections
• Operate welding shop tools including:
– Pneumatic Pipe Beveler (required)
– Oxy/Acetylene Pipe Beveler (required)
– Oxy/Acetylene Torch
– Plasma Torch
– Die Grinder
– 4.5” Angle Grinder
– Drill Press
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Required Qualifications for the Saw Operator

• Proven experience operating bandsaws and fabrication tools in a shop environment
• Ability to read a tape measure and interpret blueprints
• Strong knowledge of pipe sizes, materials, grades, and thicknesses
• Required experience with pipe beveling tools
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass background check and pre-employment drug screen
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
