Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Saw Operator to join a growing manufacturing team in Claremore. The Saw Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating metal-cutting band saws to cut steel, aluminum, brass, and other materials according to exact specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work orders, and patterns
• Set up and operate metal cutting band saws
• Install saw blades; set blade tension and cutting speed based on material
• Move material using manual methods, hoists, or overhead cranes
• Position guides, stops, holding blocks, and fixtures to secure workpieces
• Monitor equipment operation to prevent flawed cuts
• Measure completed parts to verify conformance to specifications
• Perform deburring using grinding tools
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

Requirements & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• 0–2 years of manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings (preferred)
• Strong basic math skills
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Must be able to accurately read a tape measure
• Good verbal and written communication skills
