Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Saw Operator to join our manufacturing team in Pryor, OK. The Saw Operator will set up and operate metal-cutting band saws to cut steel, brass, and aluminum workpieces according to specifications. This position requires accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to read blueprints and operate equipment safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine setup and cutting specifications.
• Set up and operate metal-cutting band saws safely and efficiently.
• Transfer materials manually or using hoists and overhead cranes.
• Install saw blades and adjust blade tension, cutting speed, and feed rates.
• Use measuring tools to position guides, stops, and fixtures for accurate cuts.
• Monitor machine performance and check finished products to ensure quality.
• Perform grinding and deburring of cut parts as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 0–2 years of manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
• Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings a plus.
• Strong math and measurement skills — must be able to accurately use a tape measure.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Dependable and safety-conscious, with strong attention to detail.
