About the Role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Sales Clerk to support our Inside Sales Manager. If you enjoy working with data, handling customer inquiries, and managing invoicing tasks, this role is a great fit. You’ll play an important part in ensuring accurate billing and maintaining customer records, contributing to the smooth operation of the sales department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and update billing data, prepare itemized invoices, and ensure accuracy in records.
  • Handle bookkeeping tasks, including data entry, tracking shipments, and maintaining cost records.
  • Respond to customer inquiries about rates, procedures, and account details via phone and email.
  • Contact customers for account updates, maintain invoicing spreadsheets, and review sales documents for accurate charges.
  • Keep customer sales tax information current and consult with tax representatives for specific regulations.
  • Track hours and costs for customer jobs to calculate service fees and assist with phone inquiries as needed.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, including invoicing summaries, sales tax details, and accounts receivable updates.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Strong knowledge of administrative procedures, file management, and record-keeping.
  • Proficiency in data entry, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Windows.
  • Basic understanding of accounting procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
