Pay: $20/hour+ DOE

General Purpose of the Position
The Quality Inspector & CMM Operator provides first article, in-process, and final inspections supporting manufacturing needs while ensuring products prescribe to the appropriate engineering and specifications. The Quality Inspector & CMM Operator is also responsible for operating and maintaining the CMM in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Major Work Functions
The Quality Inspector & CMM Operator role includes the following duties:
• Perform an assortment of inspections including First Article, in-process, and final inspections using standard measuring equipment
• Complete required paperwork indicating inspection results
• Make educated decisions when accepting or rejecting products based on specifications and engineering requirements
• Document inspection results according to policies and procedures
• Control whereabouts and identification of nonconforming products
• Document time and jobs inspected using JobBoss
• Prioritize inspection workload to support organizational goals and reduce potential production stoppages
• Work with manufacturing personnel to resolve nonconforming issues
• Operate and maintain the Zeiss G2 CMM Machine
• Utilize GD&T, Calypso, and Catia annotation as needed
Essential Functions
A Quality Inspector & CMM Operator must be able to perform or have the following skill sets:
• Read blueprints
• GD&T
• Calypso (knowledge is a plus)
• Catia annotation
• Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.)
• Use and read SME and perform all layout inspections
• Experience with an AS 9100 quality management system
• Experience with an effective calibration system
• CMM operations experience and/or certification
CMM Operator must also:
• Ensure precision machinery is properly calibrated
• Determine program requirements based on design and engineering requirements
• Operate precision machinery as needed
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent required (inspection experience may substitute)
• Minimum 2 years inspection experience reading blueprints in a manufacturing environment
• Minimum 2 years CMM operation/programming experience
• Certified to operate/program CMM precision machinery required
• Post high school education may substitute for experience requirements
• NDT Level I, II, or III (Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection) preferred
• Certified Weld Inspector preferred
Physical and Environmental Requirements
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs without assistance
• Must be able to stand and move throughout the manufacturing environment while performing inspections
