Quality Engineer

Pay: $65,000-75,000yr.

Hours: Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM

Job Description:

Support the comprehensive quality control team through the development of internal quality procedures including inspections, process documentation, instrumentation, and preventative action tools. Working directly with quality management to conduct internal and external audits of the quality management system; as well as collaborating with our continuous improvement team to ensure quality is maintained during manufacturing efficiency gains. Must be able to advocate and educate all levels of employees. Will maintain and audit manufacturing adherence to quality management system. Manage root cause analysis program including 8D, 5-why, fishbone, etc. Communicate findings and establish preventative action measures with customer engagement. Use proactive tools like DFMEA/PFMEA to identify quality control issues before they happen, working with the quality supervisor to implement preventive measures. Work with quality control documentation team to update visual work instructions, quality inspection checklists, and data collection points; ensure data collection is useful and actionable for preventative measures.

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field. Must have 1-5 years' experience in quality or process engineering. Strong computer literacy to develop and maintain digital process documentation; Microsoft Office suite proficiency required. Experience implementing or maintaining ISO9001 documentation (preferred). Six Sigma Green / Black Belt certification (preferred).
