Quality Assurance Technician
Pay: $21.00/hr (D.O.E.) + Shift Differential

Shift: A/B Shift (2nd, 3rd, and weekend shifts available)

Position Overview
The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for performing inspections, audits, and testing on raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with company, customer, and industry standards. This Quality Assurance Technician role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to quality documentation, and the ability to support production teams in maintaining high-quality output.
Required Experience & Skills
• Experience with quality assurance processes in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to use measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, O.D. tape)
• Strong understanding of quality standards, inspections, and compliance procedures
• Experience with ISO 9001, Lean, OSHA, or Six Sigma principles preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (IQMS preferred)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to analyze data and identify non-conforming products
• Mechanical aptitude and basic math skills
• Ability to differentiate product specifications (color, material, type, footage)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The Quality Assurance Technician role includes:
• Conduct dock audits to verify packaging, labeling, and handling of finished goods
• Perform line checks, inspections, and sampling during production
• Review and comply with QTs, SQPs, and L4 documentation
• Identify, document, and help resolve non-conformance issues
• Collaborate with production teams to improve quality processes
• Manage inspection results and determine disposition of on-hold products
• Maintain calibration systems and gauge accuracy
• Support customer and regulatory audits and assist with corrective actions
• Coordinate testing, sample shipments, and maintain quality records
• Assist with ISO 9001 audits and documentation updates
• Participate in LEAN, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Preferred Experience
• Experience in quality assurance, inspection, or manufacturing environments
• Familiarity with QA documentation systems and audit processes
• Previous experience working with plastic, pipe, or industrial materials (preferred)
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Lift 40–50 lbs regularly, up to 80 lbs occasionally
• Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and stacking materials
• Ability to work in manufacturing environments with noise and temperature changes
