Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead and maintain the quality system for a manufacturing operation in Catoosa. The Quality Assurance Manager will oversee quality processes, compliance standards, and continuous improvement initiatives across production and support functions.

This Quality Assurance Manager role focuses on maintaining strong ISO-compliant systems, managing quality documentation, and supporting a point-of-use quality model where operators and team leads perform first-line inspections. The Quality Assurance Manager will ensure production processes meet quality, regulatory, and customer standards while driving improvements across operations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The Quality Assurance Manager role includes:

  • Lead and maintain the company’s ISO 9001 quality system
  • Support a point-of-use quality model, ensuring operators and team leads perform first-line inspections
  • Conduct targeted spot inspections to verify measurement practices and documentation accuracy
  • Schedule and coordinate internal ISO audits and track corrective actions to completion
  • Manage nonconformance reports (NR) and return goods authorizations (RGA) including root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Maintain the NR/RGA database and analyze quality trends
  • Oversee the calibration program, including equipment calibration schedules, traceability, and documentation
  • Prepare and maintain customer and regulatory documentation including PPAP, FAI, CoC, and dimensional reports
  • Inspect outside-processed parts before shipment to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Track quality costs including scrap, rework, and returns while supporting continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain and control quality procedures, records, and documentation
  • Support management review by presenting quality data, trends, and improvement opportunities

Required Qualifications

  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems
  • Experience with quality audits, compliance processes, and corrective actions
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Familiarity with machine shop, stamping, brake, and welding processes
  • Proficiency using inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, gauges, CMM, and related tools
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data management systems (Microsoft Access preferred)
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S principles
  • Familiarity with SPC, PDCA, and statistical quality tools
  • ASQ certifications preferred (CQA, CQE, CQPA/CQIA, CCT, or similar)
  • Experience leading quality initiatives within manufacturing environments
